When should I bring my newborn for a first check-up?+
A newborn should be seen within 48–72 hours of discharge from hospital. Early visits allow the doctor to check for jaundice, weight gain, feeding adequacy, and conduct a full physical examination.
My baby has a fever. When is it serious enough to visit?+
Any fever above 100.4°F (38°C) in a baby under 3 months requires immediate consultation. For older infants and children, visit if fever persists beyond 48 hours, is above 103°F, or is accompanied by rash, difficulty breathing, or extreme lethargy.
What vaccinations does my child need and when?+
Dr. Chatterjee follows the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) immunisation schedule, which begins at birth with BCG, OPV, and Hep-B, and continues through adolescence. A personalised vaccine card is maintained at the clinic for every patient.
How do I know if my child is growing normally?+
Growth monitoring includes weight, height, and head circumference plotted on WHO growth charts. Deviations above or below the 3rd and 97th percentile are reviewed carefully. Regular well-child visits every 3–6 months are recommended in the first two years.
Does the clinic see children of all ages?+
